A course for Black, Indigenous and racialized Peoples

May-October at the Kalima Medicine Garden, 5420 Hwy 6, Guelph

Students will meet from 9:30 am to 3 pm on the last Sunday of each month to learn hands-on skills related to herbal medicine rooted in the principles of self-determination, liberation, and reciprocity.

TOPICS COVERED:

  • Medicine Making

  • Harvesting and Tending to Plants

  • Energetics of Herbs and Pathophysiology

  • Building Reciprocity

  • Plant Identification and Relationship Building

We will be outside rain or shine, so please be prepared for the weather and bring a lunch. We will learn in the garden, on the trails, and by the water, so be ready to get a little messy. All plant material will be provided.

This course is only open to Black, Indigenous and racialized people invested in the liberation of Black and Indigenous Peoples globally. If you are perceived as white and culturally white, we ask that you please refrain from registering.
